Matt Hummel, Head Sports Performance Coach, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist who has been an integral member of IGNITE following an Exercise Science internship there. His personal experience dealing with rehabilitation has proved invaluable to athletes returning from injuries as well as injury prevention. Through his vast knowledge of human anatomy and physiological response to exercise Matt has grown an impressive list of accomplished clients at IGNITE. Matt is constantly challenging athletes both physically and mentally, and this has lead to their success both in competition and in everyday life.
Christine Smith, Partner and Performance Coach at Ignite Training & Fitness has been involved in the fitness industry for over 20 years. A native of Central Pennsylvania, her passion for fitness has developed while working as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer with people of all ages and fitness levels in assisting them meet their fitness goals. Her experience ranges from teaching group fitness classes, to personal training clients searching for assistance with general fitness, weight loss, and injury and stroke rehabilitation. Christine holds a number of professional certifications including Certified Personal Trainer (ISSA), Certified Sports Nutrition Specialist (ISSA), Certified Group Indoor Cycling Instructor, CPR/AED (American Red Cross) as well as many other continuing education credits in fitness education. Christine is committed to working with people to not only help them achieve their personal health and fitness goals, but help them keep physically active and striving to achieve their best at any age.
Olivia Taylor-Yoder is a certified personal trainer. She is a graduate of Millersville University and majored in communications and minored in coaching. Olivia is an avid soccer player. She competed in the collegiate ranks after her hard work as a youth and high school player paid off. In addition to training clients and teaching classes at Ignite, Olivia is a youth soccer coach, a marathon runner and she also competes in the NPC Bikini division.
Rhonda is a fitness industry veteran with 22+ years experience in the Central Pennsylvania area. Aside from extensive education and certifications in the group fitness field, she has also had more than 15 years experience in fitness management in area clubs and organizations. She has been AFAA certified since 1994, and holds certifications in freestyle step, cardio interval training, resistance training, flexibility training, as well as certifications in five of the Les Mills® award-winning programs: BodyPump®, BodyStep®, BodyCombat®, BodyJam®, and CXWorx®. In addition, she has been a licensed Zumba®Fitness instructor, completing both Basic 1 and Basic 2 trainings, and holds a specialty certification in Zumba Gold®, with the addition of Zumba Toning® and the innovative new chair-based workout, Zumba Sentao® in early November 2012. Rhonda is also CPR/AED certified with the American Red Cross Association.
With a great passion for seeing people find joy and success in the basics of movement within the energetic and motivational atmosphere of the group dynamic, as well as a working knowledge of the nuts and bolts of fitness management and industry standards, Rhonda adds her experience to the rest of the Ignite Training and Fitness team to reach people looking for top-notch fitness offerings in an out-of-the-big-box-gym atmosphere that this facility provides. Margaret has been in and out of the fitness industry since the 80’s, but got “serious” about it 2006, when asked to instruct a senior fitness class called: SilverSneakers® Muscle Strength Range of Movement. She found her “niche.” She loved the people and loved what the program had to offer. This encouraged her to go on and get the following certifications/licenses: FiTour – 2006, IFTA – 2007, AFAA Group Fitness – 2008, SilverSneakers® MSROM, CardioCircuit® and CardioFit®, Zumba ® & Zumba® Gold
Margaret has been instructing Boomer Generation exclusively for 6 years. They do everything from Classic Aerobic classes, to modified kickboxing and even a little TRX! This is the YES generation and nothing will stand in their way. It her my goal and privilege to be the fitness instructor for this wonderfully vibrant group of people.
